The DCI SEOB serves as the primary criminal investigative and enforcement agency for enforcing Iowa Code chapters 99D, 99E and 99F. In 1989, the Division of Criminal Investigation established the Gaming Bureau, now known as the Special Enforcement Operations Bureau (SEOB), to ensure public confidence and trust in Iowa's expanding gaming industry.
